Oh boy, what can I say about Journey? I always figured art was defined by the emotional impact it had on the viewer/listener. Journey had a more profound impact on me than any piece of media that came before it.
I've put around 200 hours into the mass effect series. Went on plenty of adventures with its characters. In hours of dialogue I got to know each one of ME's characters well. Lost some, loved others, but none of them came close to gaining the emotional attachment I had to the first stranger I completed Journey with. Not a single word spoken between us, no names given or introductions and yet almost a year after playing the game the artwork and music tear through my emotions like a rampaging Hulk.
Its taught me that you can get a lot more than just fun out of a video game and everyone at That Game Company(and Mr. Wintory) have my deepest thanks. What an amazing experience.
If you haven't played this game, go play it. If you don't own the soundtrack, go buy it. Its all well worth your time and money.

Oh yeah this painting. I really liked one of the(oh, spoilers?) final shots of the mountain during the credits of the game. Pretty colorful sky. So I painted that and plopped in a fresh new red cloak ready to take on its journey.

I'm so glad I didn't look at Journey's trophy list beforehand, or I may have been tainted on that final stretch. After suffering the diminishment of the established blink/touch-to-empower mechanic (my heart painfully reached out!), what followed was sheer beauty. However, I fell behind of my partner. We all know how the music and visuals reach a soul-rending peak right before the summit, and when I landed, everything still, I was choked to barely-withheld tears because, standing there, waiting for me, was my partner, and we went forward together. Goddamn, I'm tearing up just thinking about it. A game that touched my heart from its presence of a co-op player, of all things!

Beautiful. I love the clear sharpness of the bright colours, the intense orange of the background, perfectly shaded with the light blue-violet of the sky, the clean lines of the Voyager.
It gave to me the impression to be in the middle of the real desert, the air clear and sharp and almost cold in the sunset. Different from the game's original atmospheres, interesting and captivating. Straight into Favourites - and forgive me for my orrible (ab)use of English language.

It is an outstanding game, a real piece of art. Austin Wintory's music for the game even made it as a Grammy nominee.
